Receiving this, you have been a student in my Professional Practice Course, and its high time for me to make a blog post again, lets see, the last one was in 2011...
I'm writing to ask if you might have a moment to send along some comments for our students, since you have been in the same position yourself, and now may have some insight, some experience you'd be kind enough to share with this years senior class.
Please include your year of graduation and a link to your current work, it will be great to hear from you.
Thank You and Best Wishes,
Paul OlsonUnknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7620045035618559313.post-25771444754910492422011-03-23T05:49:00.000-07:002011-03-23T05:50:39.810-07:00Spring 2011 LettersGreetings! I hope this finds you well.

Being that spring is here it must be time for my annual blog post, it does seem to get easier with each attempt, hope I get it right this time. Professional Practice is in full swing, and my students and I would love to hear how things are going for you since graduation, if you were inclined to share. Please feel free to leave a comment, any advice you think would be helpful would be much appreciated.

I've added two new links lists, "Former Students" and "Help from the Pros" and plan to continue adding links as I find them. If I've missed yours and you wish to be included please let me know, or let me know if you'd like to be removed. If you don't like public posting you can always reach me at polson at the old risd dot edu.

Best Wishes,
PaulUnknownnoreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7620045035618559313.post-45348858112004214322010-03-03T05:25:00.000-08:002010-03-03T05:29:28.853-08:00Greetings!Receiving this, you must have been a member of Paul Olson's class in the past, been a guest, or have the dubious pleasure of knowing him. Another Professional Practice Course has begun for Paul and his students. The blog for this course still exists, If you have a few moments and a desire to share, please post a comment or two about your experience in the Art world outside of the RISD bubble. Did you feel prepared after graduation? Was it as difficult as they (or he) said it would be? Getting Illustration work? Got a job? Enjoying life? Got health care?

No need to answer all those questions of course, whatever you'd like to share would be a big help, thanks in advance. I'm editing links in the next week, any suggestions would be appreciated. A new link will be titled something like "Illustrator's Student Advice Pages".

Warm regards,
PaulUnknownnoreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7620045035618559313.post-12827020754657413042008-02-18T06:38:00.000-08:002010-03-03T05:24:07.612-08:00Spring 2008 LettersI hope this finds you well and life is grand.
